Do you want your character to be recognized? I don't mind, though I doubt anyone will know her. She's rarely played. As for Marvel cases where a character would know who she was but is of a different time line? She knows what AUs are, so go for it.

[ Super Powers ]

Janet/Wasp can change size and fly, which wont bother you for the most part. She CAN however shoot bio electric blasts of yellow light form her hand and 'sting' you. They hurt. She can use them big or small and doesn't take long to charge up.
